Breakthrough charging and results

I am now happy to announce that the Renaissance Charger does what it claimed doing.

This is a quick update after dropping my charger to my young brother.

As you have noticed, I was not getting anywhere with this charging with AA and AAA batteries.

I am not sure why It took me so long to get the idea to bring this to my brother that is mechanics, back in my home town.

He brought back to life 9 batteries so far, which are either holding same charge or better than new now. He couldn't believe it.

I talked to him on phone tonight and I am glad to bring these good news to your readers.

I'll try to get details on the charges and brand of batteries that works well for my next article.

Test 003 - Renaissance Charger on Blackberry - Lithium Ion - 3.7v

Well, after about 1 week struggling with the Blackberry Battery, I managed to get a simple setup to recharge them. The problem was to make a proper contact. I used my breadboard and bent a few wires to get a good contact.

Test 003 - Renaissance Charger on Radio Shack 3.6v pack(3)

This battery pack was thrown away at work in the battery recycling bin. Probably a pack(3) for a phone or remote control car.

Charging batteries that seems to be charged, but don't work well in camera. They are 5 years old AA batteries.

Battery State: 5 years old batteries, giving poor performances.

Note: These batteries show very poor quality on the camera battery meter.

(Note: Voltage still going up 2h30 after been removed from the charge. Is this normal behavior?)

Ending Voltage: 8.5v (still rising slowly even unplugged)

Renaissance Charger by Energenx

Greetings everyone!

I decided to dedicate another blog to experimentations with the Renaissance Charger.

I received the RC-1AU-120 this afternoon.
This charger, to my great surprise can do lead acid battery as well as what I expected from it, the NI-MH and Ni-CD, ranging from 1.5v to 24v.

I'll post the results here with various battery types.

For future reference: The price of the unit was $350.00 USD and the cost for custom was too much for my taste: $47.14CAD
